Laura Wilkinson
In the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, American Laura Wilkinson won the diving platform gold medal! Six moths before she broke 3 bones in her foot. She wasn't able to be in the pool, and got back in the pool only two weeks before the trials. She was still able to qualify, and she still had pain. Laura even had to wear a special shoe to climb the stairs!
Fun Facts:She says Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things though Christ, who strengthens me" before she dives.
Laura was a gymnast until she was 15.
